Description
Join the volunteer team for Boston's beloved tradition, Duckling Day, celebrating the children's classic book "Make Way for Ducklings" by Robert McCloskey. The event is a benefit for the nonprofit Friends of the Public Garden. The parade begins on the Boston Common at the Parkman Bandstand, led by the Harvard Marching Band, and ends in the Public Garden near the famous Make Way for Ducklings sculptures. Volunteers are needed for the check-in/registration and other tasks, with shifts from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM or 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required to work at the event. Playtime on the Common, a 2-hour festival of magic, activities, and games, is free with event admission and takes place prior to the famous Duckling Day Parade. For more information, please visit www.friendsofthepublicgarden.org/ducklingday or contact events@friendsofthepublicgarden.org.
